The Theatre Box Office

The box office in the foyer is open before every performance and tickets for the next production can normally be purchased from 7:00 – 7:40 pm.

SVC Lighting & Electrical on Market Street can sell individual performance tickets only.  They will NOT handle season tickets or any refunds or exchanges.  For these you must contact the Box Office (email at: boxoffice@carvertheatre.co.uk or by phone 0161 410 0202).

We expect most bookings to be made online. Where this isn’t possible, we plan to open the box office for an hour on the two Wednesday evenings before the run of each production and for about half an hour before the start time of each show.

Carver Terms and Conditions

Booking Tickets

Tickets are normally available for the whole season from mid to end of August.  Panto tickets are normally available from 1st November.

Our policy, based on fire brigade advice, is that we must sell a ticket for every individual in the audience so that we know how many people we need to account for in an emergency.

Tickets can be purchased from TicketSource by following this link: ticketsource or from our Theatre box office which opens for c30 minutes prior to the show start time or below.

For the Panto performances and Saturday matinees of the Junior and Youth shows we offer group discounts – buy ten tickets and get one free.  Panto is not normally suitable for children under the age of about four, due to pyrotechnics and really scary characters. A child is defined as anyone up to and including the age of 17.

All tickets are non-refundable unless the event is cancelled, though they can sometimes be exchanged with at least 2 weeks’ notice and subject to availability.

If tickets are purchased and you are unable to attend you may ask the box office (email: boxoffice@carvertheatre.co.uk or phone: 0161 410 0202) to exchange the tickets for another night, subject to availability. If you are unable to attend on another night you may ask for the tickets to be resold. No refund will be given unless the show is a sell out and the tickets are resold.

Our show licences forbid members of the audience from videoing, photographing or recording any show. Perpetrators will normally be asked to leave the building.

The theatre reserves the right to swap a show at any time prior to the show run.

Payments which are returned by our bank will normally incur a £20 charge.

Season Tickets

Season tickets can normally be purchased by completing the form readily available from the theatre.

If you want to exchange ALL or SOME of your tickets for another night you will need to contact the Box Office (email at: boxoffice@carvertheatre.co.uk or by phone 0161 410 0202). The box office will then split your allocation and will reissue the replacement tickets if the seats are available.

The theatre box office can be contacted by email at: boxoffice@carvertheatre.co.uk or by phone 0161 410 0202. Please do not call the theatre phone number as this is just an outgoing message and will not be answered.

You can also return unwanted tickets by post to the theatre with your request. Please address your letter to “Box Office”. The Box Office will then split your allocation and will issue replacement tickets, if the seats are available. In this instance the tickets will have to be collected from the theatre.

Please supply stamped addressed envelope for your tickets to be sent, otherwise they can be collected from box office at your first performance.

Our show licences forbid members of the audience from videoing, photographing or recording any show. Perpetrators will normally be asked to leave the building.

The theatre reserves the right to swap a show at any time prior to the show run.

Season ticket payments which are returned by our bank will normally incur a £20 charge.

Event Cancellation

In the case of the cancellation of a show your tickets can be refunded.   If you bought your tickets online you will automatically be refunded through Ticket Source.  Season ticket holders and tickets bought through other methods, eg Stripe, will normally be refunded to the account that originally paid for the tickets.
